Public Art Norway (KORO) Call for Artists

Public Art Norway (KORO) invites artists working within the fields of visual art, arts and craft and other visual expressions designers, to participate in a pre-qualifying round for two large-scale and distinctive commissions (a 3000 m2 concrete floor and the second-floor foyer) for Kilden, The new Performing Arts Centre in Kristiansand. Deadline is September 1st.

Oslo Screen Festival
Oslo Screen Festival focuses on innovative and experimental works within the field of video art, and this year encourages artists and filmmakers to approach the theme of alterity / identity in their works. An award of 1000 will be given to the best video.

ITovation Competition: The Open Wall
The Open Wall is a wall-mounted LED installation consisting of 96 circuit boards. The artist perspective for the contest is to exploit the artistic potential of possible technologies that can be implemented and to investigate in artistic concepts that applies to the wall being an interactive and living object.
- Prize award will take place at the Festival for Art and Technology in Trondheim, Norway (October 16 - 18)
- Prizes from 1000 to 2000 euro

DIVA Denmark

The Visual Arts Centre in Copenhagen
To promote creative exchange between Danish and foreign artists and art institutions, The Danish Arts Council has established an artist-in-residence program in Denmark. The Danish Arts Council will let individuals or institutions within the Danish art world propose candidate artists from abroad. The program offers residencies ranging from 3-6 months, but application for shorter periods of residency is also possible.
Nordic AIR Bergen, Norway

Nordic Air Bergen offers a place for working, sketching and research. The residency is organised by Hordaland Art Centre which is located close by the residencys studio and apartment. Hordaland Art Centre is an artist-run institution with its own gallery. In addition they organize seminars and various other activities. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and is located on the south-western coast. The studio is at the USF, a former sardine factory which is located near the harbour; close to the centre of the city.

IASPIS Sweden

IASPIS, The Swedish Arts Grants Committees International Programme for is a Swedish exchange program whose main purpose is to facilitate creative dialogues between visual artists in Sweden and the international contemporary art scene. Iaspis encompasses an international studio program in Sweden, a support structure for exhibitions and residencies abroad for Swedish based artists, as well as program of seminars, exhibitions and publications. Artists based in Sweden can apply for the studios at Iaspis twice a year. Artists from abroad are invited by Iaspis for longer or shorter periods, sometimes in connection with exhibitions or other projects in Sweden. The international residency program is by invitation only.

To strenghten cultural exchange and network between Copenhagen and international artists the City of Copenhagen has established an artist in residence in collaboration with the
Factory of Art and Design. Individuals as well as institutions, galleries, publishing firms and other in the Copenhagen art scene can recommend international artists for the program.
Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators

Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators is an international residential centre for writers and literary translators, located in Visby on Gotland, Sweden. BCWT is a working and meeting place for literary professionals. The Centre has eleven studios/rooms and is open all year round. The Centre welcomes applicants from all countries - but priority of residence is given to literary professionals from the countries of the Baltic Sea region and Scandinavia.
Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder

Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (LKV) is housed in a former school building from 1906, near the centre of Trondheim, Norway. It consists of 36 studios for professional artists as well as common workshops such as darkroom, printing workshop and computer room. In a nearby building there are two apartments for visiting artists. Guest artists are selected by a committee of 3 artists on the basis of CVs, documentation of work and a description of the plans for the residency.
