Trans Artists Workshop Programme
How to become an 'artist-in-residence'?
Knowing that artist-in-residence programmes are "out there" is something else than knowing how to really get there. How to make a choice out of hundreds of opportunities? For which purpose? In which stage of your career? How to apply? How to match your wishes with the conditions of the residential programs on offer?
Trans Artists organizes workshops which can help artists in any stage of their carreer to get a clear insight in the ways you can find and use YOUR artist-in-residence opportunities. These meetings will give you the possibility to ask all your questions and discuss your ideas and plans with us.
Trans Artists organizes workhops in:
- The Netherlands: at its office in Amsterdam, at Kunstenaars & Co, and at Art Academies and Festivals.
- Throughout Europe in the On-AiR programme.

European tool for artists: On-AiR

Together with partner organizations throughout Europe Trans Artists developed a trajectory of Mobility workshops and training programs for artists on artist-in-residence opportunities.
The programme has two goals:
- overcoming the imbalance between knowledge and skills among potential users of AiR programs: to know that AiR opportunities are 'out there' is something else than to have the skills to access and make use of them.
- exchanging intelligence among providers of AiR programs, on how to distribute facts and value of AiR opportunities among potential users, in such a way that it fits the regional needs of the artists.
