A selection of music and sound residencies.

International Musicians Residency, USA

Each August, approximately a dozen musicians, composers and performers from around the globe, gather for two and a half weeks to share in a collaborative music making residency program. A singular feature of the Music Omi artist colony experience is the presentation of public concerts at the conclusion of the program.

NYC Audio

The Harvestworks Artist In Residence Program (NYC) offers commissions of up to $4000 to make a new work in their state of the art digital media facility.

Each artist receives a fee which is used to manage and produce the work. The artist works with a team comprised of a project manager, engineer and programmer. New works may include the creation of a new video work with a surround sound audio mix, audio recording and mastering of a surround sound piece, the creation of a new web art work and the development of a live interactive music/video/installation system using Max/MSP/Jitter.

Electroacoustic Competition

International Institute of Electroacoustic Music (IMEB) residence (studio, equipment and accommodation) consists of a 3 weeks' stay by one of the Centres in order to enable the winner to learn other techniques and methods, to discover and learn different cultural practices and to conduct a study or even to compose a work.

The Pharos Trust, Cyprus

The Pharos Trust Residency Programme hosts artists, musicians, scholars and composers who have an opportunity to create new works in Cyprus.

The Trust has the use of a large old townhouse, situated in the heart of old Nicosia, next to the church of Ayios Kassianos for its artists-in-residence programme as well as a country residence in a rural area outside Nicosia, ideal for contemplating and creating.

Sound of stones
