Description
The Tungpan Art Village organizes each year activities, from the six-week art celebration in the first year to the Art Festival of the second year and onward. Each year the Art Festival put out a different theme of performance, from the Landscape of Constellations, the Canvases of Spray Painting and the Creation of Stone Sculpture to the Coloring of Ceramic Slabs. In the process of creation and recording, the life of experimental art that belongs to this island is thus accumulated.
Location
The Tungpan Island, one inhabited by humans south of the Pescadores, is the closest to the Magong City. It is within a thirty-minute sailing distance from Magong. The terrain of the island is higher in the south and lower in the north, and the houses are built along the hills. The residents are mostly fishermen.
Application Criteria
Tungpan Island Artist Village invites all artists to apply. Resident creators will have to participate in some laborious work so as to improve their living conditions on the island.
