Description
PARTage's residency programme aims to support artists in the development of their artistic practice and ideas, offering them an opportunity to live and work in Mauritius in the pARTage house situated on the west coast of the island.
This residency will act as a stimulus to bring to the island a small panorama of contemporary new media used in art making, while also facilitating cultural exchange and creative dialogue. During the residency period the visiting artists have the opportunity to interact with local artists, art students and the public at large through public lectures and short workshops. Towards the end of the residency, artists will be required to hold an open studio or an exhibition to show works in progress.

Accommodation, basic materials and equipment, stipend, inland transport.
Paid by artist
Artists have to pay for their airfare. Application can be made to AMA which supports travelling for African artists.

Application Criteria
Applications are invited from dynamic individuals from the African Continent mainly working in ceramic or fiber glass sculpture.

- Short Curriculum vitae. Names, country, specialization, education and exhibitions
- 3 to images of your works (jpeg format max. 300 kb each image)
- Passport size photo of artist
- A motivational letter outlining the reasons for your application and intent.
- Names and e-mail address of two referees.
