Description
The Kamiyama Art Centre aims for activities that form one core of the Kamiyama International Culture Village idea that create new discoveries, value systems and exchanges among local residents.
Accommodation Information
KAIR will provide one apartment in a ferroconcrete tw-story row house approximately 60m2 with kitchen, shower, toilet and three tatami rooms
Paid by host
One round-trip airfare up to 150,000 JPY for overseas residents and up to 75,000JPY for domestic residents plus transportation from the airport to Kamiyama; material allowance up to 300,000 yen per artist; studio space; accommodation; living allowance of 100,000 JPY; car, scooter or bicycle

Application fee of 50 $, food expenses, travel insurance
Location
A town of about 7000 people, located in central Tokushima Prefecture amid mountains and greenery.

Application Criteria
Artists must be active in the field of contemporary art. Artists must create at least one art work during the residency period. Invited artists must be able to engage in joint activities during their stay. Must be able to interact with the other artists and local residents. Must have some English-language capabilities .
