Description
The Digswell Arts Trust is a dynamic arts charity which believes that art benefits all people and communities. It supports artists who wish to become professionals by providing low cost studio facilities in two bases in Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City and gives them the opportunity for exhibitions and training. It also brings art out into the Community with a wide range of projects designed for groups as varied as children, the unemployed and those with learning difficulties.

Technical Information
Dark room and Four Kilns: One large top loading kiln and a small test kiln in the Attimore Barn; A large gas Kiln and an electric Kiln at the Farmhouse. There is a photographic dark room at the Farmhouse. There is a German-made map press dating from 1891, the largest in the country together with other associated printing facilities at the Attimore Barn.
Accommodation Information
The Trust does not provide residential accommodation. All artists have to find their own places to live.
Paid by artist
The Trust expects artists to contribute to the operating costs of the studios.
Location
The trust operates two studio bases - a Farmhouse in Stevenage, Hertfordshire with studios for up to 14 artists and a 17C Barn in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire with partitioned spaces for 13 artists. Both premises are old buildings in post WWII new towns 30 - 40 km from London.
